The word "Andirá" means "bat" in the Brazilian indigenous language tupi-guarani. These animals captivate me with their mysteries, their elegance, their flight and fast shades over the night. More than just making me curious and being my research target for 10 years, bats were my main inspiration to give name to this company.
Andirá Imagens was born in the necessity of a company that could provide clients both with high quality visual content and also with strong stories about natural history, biodiversity, conservation and adventure. This may not be always a simple task, since it involves much beyond technical skills and a good equipment. It claims for a strong background in ecology, evolutionary biology, animal behavior, biogeography, survival in extreme environments and, the most important, patience, persistance, feeling and planning to be in the perfect place in the perfect time with the perfect light. Love to nature is the main ingredient to work hard and seek always the best words, be them written by the hands or by the light, to better tell a story.
